Monday,
September 8, 2008 - Marc Jacobs had “green power” on his side from On Site
Energy during the showing of his Spring 2009 collection. On Site Energy provided green power solutions
for the Marc Jacobs Fashion Show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at the New
York State Armory, September 8, 2008
in New York City.
On Site Energy (OSEC), the East Coast leading
provider of power & temperature control rental equipment provided power at
the NYS Armory, while Marc Jacobs debuted his Spring 2009 collection during
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. As model
after model walked the runway like a parade of American Girl dolls, OSEC kept
the power running with 500 kW green generator rentals, so that celebrities that
attended such as; Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckman, Lauren Hutton, Nicole
Richie and Kanye West could enjoy the fashion show.
OSEC has
dedicated itself in a bold move to compliment the Regional Greenhouse Gas
Initiative (RGGI). OSEC has invested heavily
into Tier 3 certified Green equipment and is making most of its current fleet
more emission friendly and is providing Biodiesel fuels when needed. Since
implementing these changes, OSEC has been privileged to provide green power,
heat and cooling to the special event and entertainment industry, offering them
an alternative that provides clean technology and is eco-friendly. On Site Energy has powered, cooled and heated
such events as; Solar One’s Revelry by the River 2008, Tribeca Film Festival
and Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair, Tribeca Drive-In sponsored by Google, Gucci/UNICEF
Fundraiser at the UN, and the Trump International Hotel & Tower Dubai
celebration on Park Avenue, just to name a few.
OSEC is not the
only one committed to solutions. Celebrities like Morgan Freeman, Daryl
Hannah and Julia Roberts all actively promote the fuel; Willie Nelson likes it
so much, he created his own brand of made-in-the-USA biodiesel. Bands and
musicians like Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, Barenaked Ladies,
Guster and Gomez use it to fuel their tours.
Joe Gere,
Director of Entertainment & Special Events at On Site Energy stated, “We’re
very happy to see that companies are supportive of our cause as well – cleaner
air. It’s very refreshing to do business with like minded companies that are
insistent on using clean burn technology.”
On Site Energy, a solution driven, regional renter of
power, cooling, and heating equipment with field experts to assist customers in
all event, industrial, commercial, and technology related sectors meet their
goals and reduce their exposure while providing an environmentally friendly
alternative.
