July 27, 2008 - On Site Energy (OSEC), the East Coast
leading provider of power & temperature control rental equipment releases
the “Snorkel Series” (S-Series) a self-powered rental air-conditioning/distribution
package.
The S-Series is unlike traditional
event cooling packages. The S-Series consists of modular units that utilize
higher voltage AC units coupled with ultra quiet diesel generators, providing
event power as well. Depending on how
the modules are coupled, it can cool and power events from 1,000 square feet to
over 100,000 square feet. Since the air delivery and return components of the
S-Series are modular, this enables OSEC technicians to install and teardown the
equipment in minutes compared to the hours it traditionally takes. The S-Series
was designed and manufactured in-house at On Site Manufacturing in Indiana and is awaiting patent approvals. There are no plans
to make the S-Series available for sale; therefore it will only be available
through the OSEC rental division.
Traditionally, Entertainment and Event Planners have
had to call rental companies to ask for quotations on cooling their events
before they could price them. With the advent of the Snorkel Series, OSEC has
incorporated a matrix of square footage and power requirements so planners can
accurately price their events without waiting days or even weeks, for quotes
from their equipment suppliers. The matrix allows for even a novice to produce
accurate budgetary numbers to price an event. The system itself has been tested
at high profile customers such as The Home Depot, which utilized it for vendor
displays in parking lot tents, and the event planners have said the system
costs them a third of what they had been previously paying for similar equipment.
