like many Indiana communities along the Ohio River has had a history of
combined sewer overflows. This has caused the city to be the focus of the Environmental
Protection Agency. They needed to
purchase quality used generator sets at an affordable price to provide
emergency power when needed.
During
this past winter Jeffersonville was without electrical power for several days
due to an ice storm that struck the area. As a result, the city was not able to
operate several of their fifty-two lift stations and move sewage through the
system. This caused major problems within the city and due to the concerns of
the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), the city chose to purchase used
portable generator sets from On Site Energy for its lift stations.
Jeffersonville
purchased nine used generator sets from On Site Energy, Inc., a sister company
of On Site Manufacturing, Inc. located in Austin, Indiana. These units will
provide emergency power for the critical lift stations in the system. Three of
the units are permanently installed and six of the units are trailer mounted
and portable.
On

Energy and has been maintained to factory specifications over its lifetime. We
are happy that we were able to provide the power solutions needed by the City
of Jeffersonville by offering them quality used equipment at an affordable
price”.
Mayor
Tom Galligan of Jeffersonville said “due to the attractive pricing and
availability of these used generator sets, the City of Jeffersonville will be able
to improve the quality of service to our citizens by preventing future shut
downs due to the loss of power from our electric utility”.
